Acoustic engineering
I blog to you from a post snowfall-apocalypse London town: a scattering of the stuff and the city shuts down, supermarkets empty, the transport network goes pre 16th century (without the luxury of horse drawn carriages)… even the internet went back to 1995 speeds – still, it was fun for ten minutes, until the inevitable frost bite kicks in.
We spent yesterday arranging some of our newer songs into stripped down acoustic versions – something we never really did with the last record. I aim to get it down to such an art that we can one day do a fully ‘unplugged’ show and not feel like plonkers. It’s a lot of fun though, and the beauty of it is we can just set up in someones flat and bash through it without the hassle and inevitable pressures of booking an expensive rehearsal room… and of course the tea making facilities are second to none.
Tomorrow I want to find an antique pocket compass. Good night.
