Just got some photographs developed – they spanned memories of sitting on train tracks in the middle of America, standing below the world’s tallest building in the Middle East, and the day it snowed in London. So I was pretty miffed when they came back completely buggered. Still, it’s not all bad:

They have their charms.

just been working on some new artwork ideas over the past few weeks. It’s early days and still quite basic but thought you lovely people would like to have a look. There is an explanation/meaning/reason behind it all. It’s very technical, it involves maths, it involves music, and it will all be revealed when the time is right.
New songs are coming along, and our little acoustic sessions seem to be helping too.

Today:

(The making of this post was slightly delayed due to MacBook’s not having a ‘hash’ key. For future reference, it’s Alt + 3. Not Cmd + 3, as I discovered, to terrible consequences.)

I blog to you from a post snowfall-apocalypse London town: a scattering of the stuff and the city shuts down, supermarkets empty, the transport network goes pre 16th century (without the luxury of horse drawn carriages)… even the internet went back to 1995 speeds – still, it was fun for ten minutes, until the inevitable frost bite kicks in.
We spent yesterday arranging some of our newer songs into stripped down acoustic versions – something we never really did with the last record. I aim to get it down to such an art that we can one day do a fully ‘unplugged’ show and not feel like plonkers. It’s a lot of fun though, and the beauty of it is we can just set up in someones flat and bash through it without the hassle and inevitable pressures of booking an expensive rehearsal room… and of course the tea making facilities are second to none.
Tomorrow I want to find an antique pocket compass. Good night.

I think it’s fair to say the making of clothing idea was excellent. I’m quite addicted. Might be time for a career change o_O

I stupidly exercised yesterday. Now I’m in agony.
new pet hate: conveniently topping up oyster card online but arriving at my station and having to join the queue to get it put on. fail.

The silence that comes with snowfall: magic.

or rather, lack thereof. Mind crowded with demons and a whole road ahead willing to be paved if only I could get hold of some decent stone. And a map. Yesterday it was t-shirts and logos. Red eyes and clumsy all day I thought I’d just fall off tonight. Now this…
Edit: yes, yes it’s only 2am. But I’m getting up at 7. Anyway 2 now, but soon 3 then 4. And the hopeless panic and… Oh whatever
